When plantation owner Charles Beaumont becomes obsessed with bride to be Madeline Short he convinces her and her fiancée to join him at his plantation in the depths of dark and mysterious Haiti. His obsession reaches it’s climax when, after being rejected by the young lover he turns to Voodoo master Murder Legendre (played by cult legend Bela Lugosi).
Using dark Voodoo, Murder turns Madeline into Beaumont’s unwilling slave and it’s up to her fiancée to save her.
