When Mary finds herself the sole survivor of a fatal drag race leaving two of her friends dead and their bodies lost to the river along with the car they were driving she decides it’s best to move on with her life.
She packs up, leaves town and starts a new job, hoping to forget that tragic day. Things seem to be fine until she begins seeing things. At first she believes it’s simply stress from that tragic day but as she becomes more and more obsessed with an abandoned dance hall turned carnival on the outskirts of town she soon finds herself unwillingly dragged into the Carnival of Souls.
